These apps are released by the individual museums, or admirers of them, and although most museums in the United States still don’t have an app, many do.
The two most popular museum apps for BlackBerry are the American Museum of Natural History app, (the museum is located in New York City); and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (located guess where!) Of course, the different apps will have different features so you’ll have to check out the different ones that are available, or just download the app for the museum you’re about to visit, and hope that it’s got all the features that you’re looking for.

Who doesn’t gamble when they’re in Nevada? Or at least, who over the age of 21, doesn’t gamble when they’re in Nevada? Now those who are, and who find themselves in the area, can download an app that will actually let them gamble on sports, wherever they are and all from the palm of their hand. All of this is now available due to the first legal sports gambling app for BlackBerry. The company to release the app is none other than Nevada-based American Wagering, Inc. and they’re releasing the app through their subsidiary, Leroy’s Sportsbooks.
The app really is the first of its kind and it can do many things for you. However, because it involves gambling and all the legal issues that are involved with it, the app took quite awhile to fully develop, and there are a few rules and regulations that come along with it. The first regulation placed on the app is that it will only work for you when you’re in Nevada. Because this is the only state that has legal sports gambling, the app will completely shut down and lock you out as soon as you leave the state. And this happens even if you have a Nevada phone number.
The other regulation is of course, that you must be 21. And this isn’t like those other apps, where they may ask you whether you’re of age via a dialogue box that pops up on the screen. Nope, you’ve got to actually go into one of the Leroy’s Sportsbooks in person so that you can show proper identification and prove that you’re of legal gambling age.
Although it may have a few rules and restrictions attached to it, this app is no doubt revolutionary for those who love to watch sports, and make it a little more interesting at the same time. There is no download on this one, but go into any Leroy’s and they’ll be sure to show you proper steps to getting the app. Once of course, you’ve shown that it’s legal for you to get it.

Starbucks is a company that has always had its finger on the pulse of what’s trendy and there’s nothing trendier now than the BlackBerry. That’s why they have now introduced the Starbucks app for the BlackBerry – an app that will let you enjoy your java even more conveniently than before.
The Starbucks app for the BlackBerry will let you check and add to the balance of your Starbucks card all from your phone using your credit card. The next time you stop by your favorite coffee shop, open the app and a barcode will pop up on the screen. Scan it, and the amount will be automatically debited from your Starbucks card. So you never have to worry about scrounging for coffee money again. Because just like everything else, it’s now all right on your phone.
The app is currently only being used in 16 stores across Seattle and Silicone Valley; and there are also 1,000 Starbucks located inside Target stores that are currently compatible with the app. But, the same kind of app has been out for the iPhone and iPod Touch now for about a year and judging from the popularity it’s received there, there’s no doubt that the Starbucks app for the BlackBerry will also start showing up in more and more locations.
