It’s amazing that with the great strides and advancements that have been made with the mobile phone, that before BBNotePad, there wasn’t an app that let you write out reports or code on your BlackBerry, or really any other mobile phone for that matter.
Most came with tiny “Note” sections, small squares that made up a calendar, and line after line that represented your contacts. But if you needed to write out a string of HTML code when you weren’t sitting in front of your PC or your laptop, then you were out of luck. And if you needed to work on a document, sure you could do a good deal of research through your BlackBerry, but you’d have to wait to start hashing it out on the keyboard. But the BBNotePad for BlackBerry has changed all of that and revolutionized what you can do with your BlackBerry!
The way that BBNotePad works is very simple. You write out a document, as short or as long as you need, and save it on your BlackBerry’s memory or SD card in the form of a “.txt” document. Then when you need to retrieve it, just plug it into any machine that will let you edit it, save it, or print it and you’re good to go. You can also make any editing and saving changes directly within BBNotePad. It really is just like having your own word processing software in the palm of your hands!

What’s even better about the BBNotePad is that this Free notepad application for BlackBerry is absolutely free, and you can download it here. This is just one app that seems so simple, it makes you wonder why no one has thought of it until now! (Actually the BBNotePad took a while to get officially approved but the final version was approved back in August of 2008.)
