Who doesn’t gamble when they’re in Nevada? Or at least, who over the age of 21, doesn’t gamble when they’re in Nevada? Now those who are, and who find themselves in the area, can download an app that will actually let them gamble on sports, wherever they are and all from the palm of their hand. All of this is now available due to the first legal sports gambling app for BlackBerry. The company to release the app is none other than Nevada-based American Wagering, Inc. and they’re releasing the app through their subsidiary, Leroy’s Sportsbooks.
The app really is the first of its kind and it can do many things for you. However, because it involves gambling and all the legal issues that are involved with it, the app took quite awhile to fully develop, and there are a few rules and regulations that come along with it. The first regulation placed on the app is that it will only work for you when you’re in Nevada. Because this is the only state that has legal sports gambling, the app will completely shut down and lock you out as soon as you leave the state. And this happens even if you have a Nevada phone number.
The other regulation is of course, that you must be 21. And this isn’t like those other apps, where they may ask you whether you’re of age via a dialogue box that pops up on the screen. Nope, you’ve got to actually go into one of the Leroy’s Sportsbooks in person so that you can show proper identification and prove that you’re of legal gambling age.
Although it may have a few rules and restrictions attached to it, this app is no doubt revolutionary for those who love to watch sports, and make it a little more interesting at the same time. There is no download on this one, but go into any Leroy’s and they’ll be sure to show you proper steps to getting the app. Once of course, you’ve shown that it’s legal for you to get it.
