If you haven’t already, download the Xing app for BlackBerry and pretty soon, you’ll be saying to just about everyone you know, “Oh, just Xing me.”
This cool app has so many features that it can be difficult to know where to start listing them. To start, this app is a networking app and it’s one of the much better ones that are now out. One of the coolest features of it is the “Mobile Handshake.” This feature allows you to just open up the app and it will search for other Xing users in your immediate area. Then, you can invite them to join you on Xing. This feature is especially useful when you’re at a conference or seminar, where you’d be entering each other’s information frantically into your phone anyway.
Of course, you can create a profile so people around you can find out more about you and see if you would be interested in joining them on Xing, and you can also send private messages all within the application. And, the message function has tons of features on all its own. One such feature is the ability to mark a message as unread, even if you’ve already read it. This can be a great little reminder when you need to do something about a message, but you don’t have time to deal with it right that second.
Xing is great for anyone who likes to keep in touch with the people around them. But it’s especially great for professionals who always find that they are exchanging information and entering it into their phone.
